Last Flight, a new series I’m showing at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen.


How much does literature effect your work?
A lot. I read a lot of interviews, conversations between people I find inspiring. Nane Ulrich Christ gets the best out of people.

What book are you reading now?
Night Studio, a memoir of Philip Guston.

What’s so fascinating about the mundane?
I do not really think the mundane is interesting itself. In the context of the … or bored, it gives more meaning.

What’s the coolest place you’ve travelled?
Well not Dubai, worst place ever. Maybe Greenland.

Where do you want to travel next?
Next trip, back to Denmark to do the show. I am exploring America a bit. It is amazing and romantic and frontiers to sometimes depressing.

If you could gain unlimited funding for a project, what would you do?
Despite supporting other projects, do what I do now and not think about funding. Buy a whiskey to be beer – and to my friends and to the dog in the bar.

Do you obsess over things? If so, what?
Yes. Whatever I am working with at the moment. Finding a certain character, looking for a certain picture, reference, etc.

How often do you go back to Denmark?
I would say four times a year, combining it with other things.

What do you love most about New York?
Energy, diversity, and getting away from the city.

What do you miss most about Denmark?
Friends & family and the Summer with fresh vegetables that taste of something from nature.
